ONCE more the bain of Wirral motorists is set to strike again – Wirral Council.
It has been thwarted twice in its attempts to ruin the enjoyment of thousands of visitors by bringing in parking charges at New Brighton, Hoylake and West Kirby.
Each time the council said it had listened to the concerns and anger of local residents and traders and reversed plans on charges.
But now it seems it is ignoring the concerns and anger of ramblers and dog walkers enjoying days out at the country parks.
The council is hell-bent on getting money out of its favourite cash cows: Wirral motorists.
I hope drivers boycott these unfair changes and leave the council with egg on their faces and deservedly so.
A Douglas from Wallasey
