HOW impatient, selfish and inconsiderate can we Brits become before those charged with upholding the law of this land are forced to do something about it?

The Highway Code specifically prohibits the parking of a vehicle on the pavement.

The same Highway Code prohibits parking anywhere within the white zig-zag lines on either side of a zebra crossing – or any variations – as well as the obvious offence of actually parking on that zebra crossing.

This afternoon, on my way back from doing some shopping I saw a Mini – it had a young female behind the wheel – stop directly across the zebra crossing outside the town hall.

I have given up counting the number of vehicles that pay absolutely no attention to speed limits that may be displayed and as for cyclists, my thoughts on that subject are unprintable, as is the language they use when challenged as they are far too important to have to obey even the most obvious red light.

Over to you, the ladies and gents in blue, who made a promise to uphold the law without fear or favour.
