ACCORDING to Cllr Phil Davies, for the next year and beyond minor reductions to services coupled with small increases in charges will no longer get the job done and we need a major, fundamental redesign of how the council works.
He said in financial terms the removal of the revenue support grant means the only cash available to invest and pay for services will be from money the council can raise itself.
They can start by reducing the number of councillors from 66 down to 44.
I have written to Cllr Davies on two previous occasions about reducing the numbers with no reply – I wonder why?
