Rock Ferry team and fans were 'credit to school'
I HAVE just been to the City of Manchester Stadium (Eastlands) to watch the English Schools' FA Under-16 Cup Final between Rock Ferry High School and Torquay Boys' Grammar School.
Torquay won the game 5-4. It was a fantastic display of skilful football from both teams and, I have to say, the Rock Ferry spectators were brilliant - it must have been a large proportion of the school and their behaviour and attitude was second to none and a credit to the school.
Congratulations to all - players, spectators and staff. The organisation of such a trip must be difficult to say the least, but it was a great success.

I'm really glad you wrote this letter Jean. It provided me with a much needed antidote to the seemingly ceaseless bad press young people attract. Well done Rock Ferry High School. And thanks again Jean.
