Clitheroe Kid plea
ARE your readers able to help a group of Old Time Radio enthusiasts who are searching for missing episodes of The Clitheroe Kid Radio Show, the hugely popular comedy of yesteryear?
The BBC only retains a small portion of the 290 shows broadcast between 1957 and 1972. An appeal last year found four missing episodes.
If you have shows taped from the radio broadcasts onto cassette or reel-to-reel tape, please let us know - you may have a sole surviving copy.
Only one show from the 1970s now eludes us - the ironically entitled The Not-So-Artful Dodger'.
I can be emailed at thekidhimself@hotmail.co.uk
