Overwhelmed
FOLLOWING an appeal for unwanted hand tools (Globe, April 2), the Rotary Club of Bebington were overwhelmed with generous donations at their recent collection at Tesco Homeplus, Bromborough.
The tools will be refurbished under the Tools For Self-Reliance' initiative and sent out to help the disadvantaged in Africa.
Additional cash donations from the public will be used to purchase a number of Aquaboxes' - these are despatched in the wake of emergency disasters throughout the world packed with purification tablets and water filters designed to give sufficient purified water to meet the needs of four people for four months. Other essential goods are also included.
The Rotary Club of Bebington wish to thank customers and staff of Tesco Homeplus for their generous support.
