IT is now almost impossible to drive anywhere in Wallasey without being held up in a traffic jam.
Wirral Council has come up with some daft ideas in the past, but this latest one where they are narrowing the roads and inputting more traffic lights along with more speed bumps etc is absolute lunacy.
Are they trying to bring the borough to an absolute logjam? What they should be doing is removing obstacles to the traffic, allowing it to move freely. Cars are here to stay and we need to assist the easy running of the traffic, not making it slower and slower.
Apart from being one of the daftest ideas this council has come up with, I'll bet that it is also very costly and being paid for by us out of our already high rates.
But apart from that, it is also very damaging to the atmosphere having long lines of stationary traffic going nowhere belching out their toxic fumes.
What will they come up with next? Has anybody got any good suggestions for this council - the dafter and more expensive, the better.
