Morgan Freeman said he feels 'very proud' to have been part of the Batman films
Morgan Freeman has revealed that he is immensely honoured to have starred in Christopher Nolan's Batman trilogy.
The 75-year-old Oscar-winner reprises his role as businessman Lucius Fox in the third and final instalment of the series, The Dark Knight Rises, which is in cinemas now.
"I am very pleased and very proud to have been a part of this particular trilogy because I think we've set the bar pretty high. This is a very fitting finale and I'm satisfied with the entire trilogy," he said.
Morgan joked that he had the best time on set with co-star Michael Caine, who plays Bruce Wayne's butler Alfred.
"We always do. He's wonderful to work with, and I love him so much. I've been a fan of his since he did Zulu," he admitted.
As for working with the film's younger cast members such as Christian Bale, Anne Hathaway and Tom Hardy, the actor said: "It was wonderful."
But asked if he took on a fatherly role to them, he joked: "That's not the part I play."
