Ann Widdecombe has insisted she's her own quiz-master - and hasn't modelled her new role on anyone else.
The former MP and Strictly Come Dancing star is hosting a new quiz show for Sky Atlantic, called Cleverdicks.
She said: "I do not like Ann Robinson's style. I like Ann Robinson, but I didn't want that ritual humiliation and rudeness.
"I loathe these programmes where you either take the 'walk of shame' when you're eliminated or you have to turn around and say, 'I'm no smarter than a ten-year-old'."
Ann added of the contestants: "I'm a bit sharp with them occasionally, but I wanted it good-natured and fun, with a certain element of relaxation, which you don't get on either Mastermind or University Challenge.
"It's very much its own programme and I'd like to think I'm my own quiz master, not modelled on someone else."
:: Cleverdicks starts on Sky Atlantic on Monday February 27.
