Taylor Swift has a date for the Academy of Country Music awards - a fan
The country star asked Kevin McGuire, of Somerdale, New Jersey, to the awards show. Kevin is 18 and has leukaemia. His sister had started a campaign on Facebook to get Taylor to go with her brother to his prom.
Taylor wrote a Facebook post of her own that said since she could not make it to the prom, she would like for Kevin to accompany her to the awards ceremony on April 1 in Las Vegas where she is nominated for three awards.
