EASTHAM Lodge Golf Club has announced its new Captains for 2008 . . .
Club Captain is 58-year-old Alan Beamish, who served for nine years in the Royal Navy, the last four of which were on nuclear submarines.
Employed at Urenco's nuclear site at Capenhurst, South Wirral, Alan, a former pupil of Wirral Grammar School, is a keen golfer with a handicap of 12. He joined Eastham Lodge in 1992.
He and his wife, Ann, have two children, Michael and Helen, and one grandaughter, Isabel.
New Lady Captain is 61-year-old Mrs Sue Boland, who joined Eastham Lodge in 2001.
She and her husband, Peter, have two children and four grandchildren.
Before being appointed Ladies' Vice-Captain, Sue had been active on the ladies' committee and was ladies' secretary for two years.
Eastham Lodge's new Junior Captain is 17-year-old full-time student Adam McGrath.
