WIRRAL-based wrestler Dean Allmark is among those stepping into the ring during the prestigious Superslam Championship at the Floral Pavilion Theatre in New Brighton next week.

He will face American Harlem Bravado at the venue next Friday, September 29 at the start of a new season of local events from presented by Neston-based All Star Promotions.

Allmark, who is head coach at All Star's training school earned his title shot with an impressive showing against Bravado at the Floral Pavilion earlier in the year and will pull out all the steps to get back the belt he has held on a couple of previous occasions.

Bravado, younger half of a top tag team combination with elder brother Lance, has enjoyed solo and tag success around the world with appearances for Ring of Honor in the USA as well as Pro Wrestling Noah in Japan.

The pair came together for a series of summer matches here and although Lance returned home late in July champion Harlem says he will be staying put and is ready to take on all-comers.

The evening will also feature a team clash when South London-born favourite James Mason, another former Superslam champion, will be supported by Mark Sealey.

Standing 3ft 6in, the personality-plus campaigner who campaigns as 'Little Legs' and has featured in many films including the Harry Potter series.

They will be giving away a huge amount of weight against Midlands pairing The Henchmen consisting of Coventry-based beaded battlers Jim Diehard and Benton Destruction, a combination who have stormed into the tag spotlight over the past 18 months with a succession of 'Route 1' performances.

Three further contests complete a cracking line-up from Birkenhead-based All Star, now into their 46th year of countrywide promotions.

Among them is a heavyweight clash between 20 stones Midlands metal masked monster Thunder, alias Darren Walsh from Leamington Spa, who faces 25 year-old Bath high flier Charlie G, a rising star who has been delivering consistent displays through the summer.

Tickets for next week's contest, which starts at 7.30pm, are available from the Floral Pavilion box office on 0151 666 0000.
