LIVERPOOL Yacht Club/Tranmere Sailing Club had a dozen strong turnout for their latest IRC Class races on the River Mersey on Sunday.
Bada Bing under Andy Farrell headed Class I from Diva (Bill Chiswell) and Ulula (Nick Ogden).
Ken Roberts in Saphoenix claimed Class II from Magic Moments (Paul Hampson) and Clairevouyant (Warwick Telfer).
The next Mersey races this coming weekend have a 9am start time.
Wallasey Yacht Club enjoyed a good season with their Half-Raters at New Brighton.
Cormorant (Andrew Reid and Peter Thorougood) lifted nine trophies including the two main series, the local Regatta series and Abersoch week.
Widgeon (P & D Bain & J Earp) claimed the Silver Series. The Commodore’s Prize went to Pochard (M & S Jones & N.Kech) and the Hilbre Race was taken by Gael (A Marsh & C Allen) with first place in the Eastham ace to Teal (M Cooper).
Other trophy winners included Fulmar (L Jones & partners), Bobolink (P & B Shillinglaw) and Sandpiper (A Watson).
