WILD conditions meant a low turn out for the latest Liverpool Yacht Club / Tranmere Sailing Club races on the River Mersey.
Neil Thomas in Mighty Max II headed the four strong Class A from Joy Rider (Andy Bracken).
Warwick Telfer in Clairevouyant won the three strong Class B with Skukusa (Stuart Lofthouse) the runner-up.
West Kirby Sailing Club called off their scheduled Handicap Dinghy races on the Marine Lake because of the strong wind.
Crews will hope for better this coming weekend.
