Yacht club finishes its autumn series

LIVERPOOL Yacht Club/Tranmere Sailing Club completed their late autumn series on the River Mersey at the end of the year.

Another Nods owned by Richard Booth claimed the final victory in Class One but had to settle for second place overall in the series behind Eazi Tiger (Adam Kyffin).

Clarevouyant sailed by Warwick Telfer headed the three strong fleet in Class Two but also had to settle for second place in the series adrift of Skukusa (Stuart Lofthouse).

A last race win for Bare Necessity (Bill Stanistreet and Charles Cooper) was not enough to take the Class One Venture series which was claimed by Spring Onion (Simon Windle).

There were no starters in Class Two but the series table was headed by Cyrus owned by Allan Stanistreet.

The Brass Monkey series begins on Sunday with a mid morning start.

Meanwhile West Kirby Sailing Club had a twenty six strong turn out for their festive Pursuit race which was taken by Mike Hartley in a Solo.
