SAILING: Mersey racing round-up

A NUMBER of yachts were unable to finish as Liverpool Yacht Club/Tranmere Sailing Club sailed the latest races in their Late Autumn Series on the River Mersey on Sunday.
A fleet of 17 set sail but seven failed to complete the course.
Jonathon Oliver's Eazi Tiger took Class One ahead of Another Nods (Richard Booth) and Ulula (Nick Ogden).
Skukusa in the hands of Stuart Lofthouse was the Class Two leader. Ragtime IV (Duncan.Martin and Geoff Whittaker) was second and Quattro (Steve Harrison) third.
Eight yachts took part in the Venture Late Autumn Series races on Saturday. Bare Necessity (Charles Cooper and Bill Stanistreet) led Class One with Class Two going to Cyrus (Alan & Timothy Stanistreet).
The next Mersey racing is on the weekend of December 15/16 with late morning starts.
