TRANMERE Rovers' boss Micky Mellon says that he and his squad are aiming for a positive result against Eastleigh in front of home fans at Prenton Park tomorrow.

After last Saturday’s defeat at Boreham Wood, the manager said they are looking to put that disappointing result in the first home action since February 20, which kicks off at 12.15pm.

In an interview on the club's website he said: "We have had a really good week this week, a tough one, because we’ve been very tough on ourselves so we can move forward again.

"We're looking forward to Saturday, we'll try and take care of our own business, play well and pick up the three points.

"We want to put in good performances, whatever the game is asking of us.

"We'll continue to fight for the football club, keep trying to improve, so there's a consistent mentality in this building."

Ollie Norburn is available for selection once again after serving a two-match suspension, while Jeff Hughes has recovered from a hamstring injury.

With James Wallace also back and ready to go, the manager says he’s happy to selection problems in midfield and says he will be making decisions purely down to what he feels will give the team the best chance of getting the all important three points this weekend.

Mellon continued: "It's good dilemmas to have. We have a clear selection policy here, where I will pick the team I believe is the best possible in order to win games for Tranmere.

"Tranmere is what it is all about for me, and I won't let any emotion get in the way of any decisions that I have to make to try and give us a chance of winning games."
