TRANMERE Rovers face Chester FC in a local derby at Prenton Park on Saturday afternoon.

Micky Mellon's side go into the game (kick off 3pm) off the back of two consecutive victories, away at Bromley and at home against Leyton Orient, and the manager is keen to keep the good results coming.

In an interview on the club's website today, Mellon said: "We've had a good week but we have to keep that going.

"It's a local derby so we know how much it means to everybody connected to the football club.

"So we have to go out there and represent them in the right way.

"We'll be well prepared and look forward to it.

"I went to see Chester myself on Tuesday so we know as much as we can about the opposition.

"There will be a good crowd there but we will enjoy that, we enjoy the atmosphere of the derby games."

The manager had some news on Ben Tollitt, who limped off against Leyton Orient on Wednesday night.

"He's cracked his knee cap so we're gutted for the boy.

"But he has the character and determination to come back.

"It's one of these freak things which happen in football and it's so disappointing for the lad, but we have to move on, get him right again and get him back on the pitch as soon as we can."
