FRESH from their 9-0 defeat of Solihull Moors, Tranmere Rovers take on Forest Green at Prenton Park tonight.

Micky Mellon's side are level on points with Lincoln City with just a three-goal advantage for the Imps, who do though have a game in hand.

With six wins in a row under, a confident Rovers are aiming for another three points to keep pressure on Lincoln City at the top of the table.

Saturday's defeat of Solihull was their biggest victory in 38 years.

With five matches of the season remaining, Micky Mellon's side know that every game is vitally important in the race for the title.

Forrest Green, currently third on the table, have 78 points from 41 matches and an away record of 12 wins, one draw and seven defeats.

They picked up a valuable three points on Saturday against Guiseley.

Looking ahead to tonight's game, Mellon said: "To be back here again at Prenton Park on Tuesday night, under the lights in such as massive game, I wouldn't want to be anywhere else so I'm looking forward to it.

"We'll get the team prepared and go and give it our best shot again.

"This is football and if you don't do it right, you'll get a large kick in your proverbials.

"It's all about keeping focused now and the players know what is required at all times.

"We'll continue to keep the standards really high as well as the motivation levels and just carry on as we have been.

"We've won six on the trot and it's still neck and neck, so nothing has been achieved yet.

"We move onto another massive game on Tuesday which we will prepare right for and go again".

Mellon will be without long-term absentees Ben Tollitt, Jake Kirby and Darren Stephenson for tonight’s game. Ritchie Sutton and former forward Andy Mangan are also doubtful, through injuries.
