TABLE-topping Tranmere Rovers are aiming for four wins in row when they face Boreham Wood FC tonight.

Gary Brabin's squad - propelled to the top of the National League after beating Eastleigh on Saturday, face Luke Garrard's side, currently second on the table, at Meadow Park, kick-off 7.45pm.

Boreham Wood have had a good start to the season, with victories over Forest Green Rovers and Dover Athletic, while an 88th minute equaliser by Ricky Shakes gave them a 1-1 draw against York City last Saturday.

Assessing their opponents during a pre-match press conference yesterday, Brabin said: "They have had a really good start, with impressive results, but I think we've probably taken the shine off them.

"We're looking forward to a tough game. I keep telling the lads it's going to be first versus second."

Rovers sit at the top of the top of the league after just three games.

Defender Liam Ridehalgh missed Saturday's game but has returned to training and is set to return to the squad.

Although pleased with his squad's performance so far this season, Brabin (pictured, below) said there is no time for complacency.

He added: "We're pleased that we've achieved the maximum points total at the moment and we have to continue those performances.

"We're not getting carried away with the start we've had.

"But we're glad people are enjoying it and long may that continue.

"We're pleased that we've achieved the maximum points total at the moment and we have to continue those performances.

Reflecting on Saturday's result against Eastleigh, he continued: "It was a thoroughly deserved three points.

"I thought we played some fantastic football, were patient and got our just reward."
