TRANMERE boss Gary Brabin's preparations for next season continue with the signing of goalkeeper Iain Turner on a new one-year contract.

The 32-year old started at Prenton Park last summer.

In addition to his playing duties, he took on the role of coaching the club's goalkeepers, including Scott Davies.

Davies paid tribute to Turner's work on the training ground when collecting his Players' Player of the Season award last month, describing Turner as "the best goalkeeper coach" he had ever worked with.

Manager Gary Brabin said: "Iain joined us to provide competition for Scott Davies and as well as doing that, he has become an important part of the coaching staff, working with all of the full time keepers at the club.

"I'm delighted to keep him at the club."
