TRANMERE Rovers have started preparations for next season by offering new contracts to three players.

Scott Davies came to Prenton Park last July and played all but one game of the 2015-16 season.

He was named players' player of the season and kept 19 clean sheets throughout the campaign.

Adam Mekki joined Rovers last summer following a spell on trial and went on to score four goals in 40 appearances.

He was named young player of the season at the club's end of season awards dinner.

Michael Ihiekwe signed for Tranmere in the summer of 2014 and has now made more than 80 appearances in a Rovers shirt.

Meanwhile, the Club is in discussions with a number of other players about their futures.

In addition, Mitch Duggan, Evan Gumbs and Luke Pilling have already been offered one year extensions, while youth scholars Tolani Omotola, Daren Askew and Sam Ilesanmi have been offered their first professional contracts.
