TRANMERE Rovers continue their National League campaign against Braintree Town at Prenton Park on Saturday.

Their last encounter, at the Avanti Stadium, ended in a goalless draw in August.

During a press conference at Prenton Park this afternoon, Brabin said he hoped this weekend's match would see Rovers return to winning ways. Rovers have two of their last 11 games.

Assessing their opponents he said: "They are a tough physical side that likes to play long ball.

"We've got to be conscious of the opposition, and we know they will make it hard for us.

“We have to create chances and get back to winning ways.”

Braintree climbed to 20th in the National League as a result of the draw, while Rovers lost their 100% start to the season and dropped to fourth.

Speaking at the time, Brabin said: "Obviously we're disappointed.

"It's a tough place to come, we knew that but if we had dug in a little bit more we would feel happier going home with a scruffy 1-0 win but I don't think we did enough at the end of the day.

"It was frustrating, we're going to get teams who frustrate you and try to slow the game down.

"They had a game plan but we have to rise above that and unfortunately, I don't think we did enough today.

"We can't rely on others, we have dig in ourselves and be professional."

Out of action this weekend is Liam Hogan, who twisted his knee during Rovers match with Boreham Wood on Saturday.

Also doubtful is Jay Harris, who sustained an ankle injury and Gary Taylor-Fletcher with an injured calf.

Brabin said: "It’s as bad as we first feared, so we may not see him back for a couple of months.

“Jay Harris has an ankle injury, so we’ll be monitoring it to see how he is this we

“It will be a huge blow to see Liam out of action for so long.

“We’ve just got him back after a hernia operation and this happens, so it’s unfortunate.

“But it is what it is and we will move on from it."
