TRANMERE Rovers' boss Gary Brabin expects his squad to be 'firing on all cylinders' when they face Chester in National League derby action at Prenton Park this weekend.
During a press conference at Prenton Park this afternoon, Brabin said: "We play every games like it's a derby, so we need to win.
"We are looking forward to it and the atmosphere will be fantastic.
"Derbies have a lot of history, but not in more recent years.
"We need to be firing on all cylinders and I'm confident we can win."
The squad has been hard at work on the training ground today.
Brabin continued: "The players know what a tough league it is and I genuinely believe our quality will shine through on the day.
"We want to be a little more ruthless in the final third.
"It's about creating chances and scoring goals.
"We've got a good squad, who are fit to play. We're also getting in and around the pack.
"But late goals are killing us at the moment.
"It doesn't help when some of our forwards have not been fit.”
Reflecting on Saturday's match against Welling United, which ended in a 1-1 draw, a disappointed Brabin said: "It was a splendid performance and I thought we thoroughly the deserved the three points."
