STEVENAGE........................2

TRANMERE ROVERS.........2  (Att: 3,344)

GOALS from Jennison Myrie-Williams and Kayode Odejayi earned Tranmere a 2-2 draw against Stevenage on Good Friday.

The pair netted late in the first half to put Rovers 2-1 up but Charlie Lee's second half effort for the hosts left both sides with a point.

Play-off chasers Stevenage had gone ahead in the third minute when Ben Kennedy's corner was headed home by Bira Dembele at the Lamex Stadium.

The draw left Tranmere in the League Two drop zone, a point behind Hartlepool.

Micky Adams made one change to the side that started against AFC Wimbledon as Rob Taylor returned from injury to take the place of Rory Donnelly.

The manager was pleased with his side's performance: "They gave us everything and were unlucky.

"In the final third we caused them problems.

"We didn't defend two set pieces very well and ultimately that's cost us.

"But we showed a lot of spirit and determination and we're going to need it in the next six games.

"We move on to the next game, Luton at home, which is a big game.

"We'll keep going and keep showing the same spirit as today and we'll be fine.

"When you've had a decent performance you look forward to the next game and we'll look forward to Monday.

"I'm sure the crowd will be behind us, they were teriffic today. It's our home game and we want to do well in it and grab those elusive three points."
