TRANMERE Rover’s goalkeeper today made the dreams of one Wirral schoolboy come true when he attended a training session at this school.
The first team have been using the all weather pitch at Bebington High School for training ahead of their League Two clash with bottom-of-the-table Hartlepool on Saturday.
Bebington pupil Kieran Griffiths, aged 12, was delighted to have the chance of meeting his goalkeeping hero Owain Fon Williams, who graciously posed for photographs with him and signed match programmes.
It’s crunch time for Rovers this weekend as they face Hartlepool under former Rovers manager Ronnie Moore.
Hartlepool come to Prenton Park in bottom place, with an away record of two wins, one draw and 10 defeats.
Since Moore took over at Victoria Park, Pools have won one, drawn two and lost three.
