Tranmere Rovers end Brentford's unbeaten League One run

ROVERS striker Adam McGurk ended Brentford's 13-match unbeaten run in League One with an impressive solo effort at Griffin Park.
Manager Ronnie Moore said it was one of their best performances to date.
After a flurry of early chances for the home side, Andy Robinson put league leaders Tranmere ahead from the spot after Harlee Dean brought down new loan-signing David Amoo.
Dean redeemed himself after the break when he was first to Jake Bidwell's free-kick and levelled the scores.
McGurk then slipped past two defenders before firing home and Rovers withstood late Bees pressure to secure the win.
Brentford, beaten at home only once before kick-off this season, went close when substitute Sam Saunders' free-kick forced an excellent save from Owain Fon Williams, who had seen plenty of action early in the game to deny Marcello Trotta and Clayton Donaldson.
Ronnie said: "Everyone was really pleased with the way this game went.
"The spirit on the bus back from Brentford was amazing. The chairman was onboard and was pleased with the songs that were being sung!"
"I thought the game was one of our best performances.
"We were good from start to finish, though we really gifted them a goal just after half-time.
"I think that overall nobody could argue we weren’t the better side and deserved it."
The manager will be hoping for a reversal of fortunes when his team takes on Swindon Town at Prenton Park this Saturday.
Their last meeting ended with a punishing 5-0 defeat for Rovers at the County Ground on December 21.
Ronnie said: "It will be a massive game for us. Swindon have fantastic form and a fantastic manager.
"It would be nice to if we could finish this month with nine points from the four games we’ll have played."
Rovers retained their spot at the top of League One with 56 points and remain ahead of second-placed Doncaster on goal difference.
