TRANMERE Rovers ended a run of away defeats with a goalless draw against Carlisle last night.
Les Parry's squad had the better of the game's chances at Brunton Park.
Rovers, currently 17th on the League One table with 33 points, have not won an away game since beating Hartlepool on November 25.
Last night's draw earned a point, but it's not enough for Les Parry.
He said: "I thought the were worthy of all three points.
"We were disappointed with the number of chances that we made and we didn't take one, but to be honest I would have taken a point before the game.
"We needed to break the sequence of away defeats, and okay if it's a draw, but at least the sequence was broken."
Paying tribute to the fans who had followed Rovers to Brunton Park, Parry continued: "The fans have been brilliant, there's been section that have been unhappy and I respect that, but the ones that have been here tonight can see the effort that we're putting in."
Rovers take on Charlton at Prenton Park this Saturday, 3pm.
