Rovers' half-price 'bring a friend' Easter ticket offer

TRANMERE Rovers are inviting season ticket holders to celebrate Easter at Prenton Park - by taking a friend or relative for half price to the crucial Coca-Cola League One match against Port Vale on Thursday, March 20 kick-off 7.45pm).

Port Vale have agreed to a request from Rovers for the match to be played on the Thursday evening rather than the traditional Good Friday to enable Ronnie Moore's promotion chasers time to recover and make the long journey to Bournemouth for an Easter Monday fixture.

It is the first time in living memory that Rovers will have played a league game at Prenton Park on a Thursday night - and Moore is keen to re-create the Friday night magic of Prenton Park.

Said boss Moore: "This is a great chance for season ticket holders to bring someone new to a game for as little as £2.50 for a junior or £6 for an adult.

"The promotion race looks like it could go right down to the final day, so every match is vitally important - including the game against Port Vale.

"Hopefully, we can recreate the Friday night magic of Prenton Park on the Thursday and pick up another three points - and, of course, fans can start the Easter holidays on the Thursday night at the game with their family and friends."

Chief Executive Mick Horton said: "As a thank you to our season ticket holders who have supported us all season, we'd like them to be able to bring a friend or relative for half price - which is from as little as £6 for an adult.

"Easter is a time when families and friends come together, so we'd like them to enjoy the game at Prenton Park and help cheer us on."
