TRANMERE Rovers will be playing for crucial points when they take on Oldham at Prenton Park tomorrow afternoon.
The two clubs last met at Boundary Park on January 20, in a game which ended in a goalless draw.
Currently level on points, a win could be enough to lift either side out of the League One table's bottom four.
Looking ahead to the fixture, which starts at 3pm, Rovers' boss Les Parry said: "Not only is it local, but with the points at stake and our relative league positons of the two teams, it is a massive game.
"I'm not a great fan of worrying about teams. I've seen managers who play local sides or return to their old team and they change everything that week.
"They do more training, more set pieces and are a bit on edge in their team talk and I've always thought that was a mistake.
"Every game is worth three points and this week we have prepared no differently."
Looking back to the last time Tranmere played Oldham, Parry said: "It wasn't the best of games. In the first half we did ok but we weren't good in the second half.
"At that time, we put that down to both teams not having played for a number of weeks. Whether that's true or not we'll never know, but let's hope it was and let's hope they're a bit rusty.
