Director of rugby at the club, Mark Sopp said: “The club is extremely excited by this festival as there will be more than 200 women and girls from all over the north west turning up to play rugby.

“Women and girls rugby is one of the fastest growing sports in the country at the moment and we will be running taster sessions throughout the day if anybody wishes to come along and try under the supervision of qualified coaching staff.

“As well as there being plenty of rugby on view throughout the day there will also be a BBQ, Mr T Ice cream, bouncy castles and trampolines as well as a licenced bar for adults.

“This will be a great day for all of the family to come along and experience.”

Car parking will be available at the Oldershaw School from 10am to 6pm.
