Captain should be on the mark for Johnston

Friday, April 25th

MARK Johnston has a good record when sending horses south to Sandown and the in-form Middleham handler saddles Captain Webb in the last at the Esher track today.

The 3-year-old boasts a 100 per cent record from three races to date and hacked up, albeit against poor opposition, last time out at Brighton. He carries a 6lb penalty for that success but it shouldn't be enough to stop him completing a four-timer to land the nap.

Selections

Sandown: 2.25 Fol Hollow 4.10 Captain Webb (nap)

Perth: 3.20 Cast Iron Casey

Wolverhampton: 2.50 Newgate

Chepstow: 6.20 Chabrimal Minster

Bangor: 5.40 Gotcha Covered

Newton Abbot: 7.05 Master John (e.w.)
