Friday, April 18th
A REALLY busy Friday programme with afternoon cards at Newbury, Thirsk and Ayr and evening cards at Cheltenham, Yarmouth and Taunton.
Thursday, April 17th
ANOTHER tricky day's racing in store as we seek to end a run of seconditis with the nap (yesterday's nomination, Truly Fruitful - beaten a nose! - was our third successive silver medal') by heading up to Ripon where the lightly-raced Sprice Route is fancied to score for Michael Bell and Jim Crowley in the 3.20.
Wednesday, April 16th
SOME really competitive racing in store today, with good prize money on offer at both Newmarket's Craven meeting and the excellent National Hunt card at Cheltenham.
YESTERDAY's nap, Hereford Boy was just collared on the line by the favourite and beaten a head into second place at 13/2 but hopefully we can go one better today when the nomination runs at Warwick.
Monday, April 14th
HOPEFULLY we can get the week off to a winning start today when we go to Windsor for the nap, which runs in the 4.00 race, a class 4 handicap over 5 furlongs.
Saturday, April 12th
DONCASTER'S Mile Stakes at 3.35 is the most valuable event on a day when the racing is very much a mixed bag. There are only eight runners but a fair case can be made for at least five and Peter Chapple-Hyam further muddies the water by saddling both Medicine Path (Jamie Spencer) and Don't Panic (Alan Munro), both of which won last time out. I am leaning towards the latter - but only just.
Friday, April 11th
SOME tricky puzzles for punters today with competitive, if not top drawer, Flat cards at Doncaster and Musselburgh and a decent jumps programme at Ascot
Thursday, April 10th
YESTERDAY'S nap, Digital did the business nicely at a generous 9/2 and we also enjoyed success with Atomic Winner (7/2) and Front Of House (11/10) so let's hope we can keep up the good work...
Wednesday, April 9th
SOME pretty moderate fare today, particularly on Bath's Flat card where the top prize money up for grabs is about £2,600. However, I'm going to the west country track for today's nap, which runs in the last at 4.40, a class 5, 5-furlong sprint for 4-year-olds and upwards
Tuesday, April 8th
ANOTHER moderate day's racing with all-weather cards on Lingfield's Polytrack and Southwell's Fibresand, plus a jumps meeting at Sedgefield.
