MATCH of the Day in The Houlihan's Sunday League saw Neston Nomads clinch a place in the Veronica Conway Premier Cup Final after extra-time, thanks to Lewis Clarke, a Dave Forbes penalty and a brace from Luke Bionel, beating Rock Ferry Social 4-3.

They will meet league stalwarts Queens Park (Stuart Jackson 2, Adam Smith) who disposed of Heygarth United. 

There was a comfortable win for AFC Houlihan's in the aptly named Tony Houlihan Memorial Challenge Cup round four tie with a 16-0 win at Oxton FC with Vinny O’Toole notching four.

Both Mike Purnell and Jamie Mearns hit a hat trick each, supplemented by a brace each from James Atherton and Nick Scholes with Liam Cairns and Andy King completing the scoring.

Saughall FC also progressed with Danny Read (2), Shaun Ronald (2), Scott Nickson and David Ollerhead all on the mark to knock out Wirral Radio 6-2.

A seven-goal thriller in the David Tacy Cup saw Shaftesbury Youth claim a place in the next round with a 4-3 win at Stirrup Sports & Social (K Upton, J Evans T Eiselt).

It took extra time for South Rangers Athletic to decide their narrow 2-1 victory over MSC Eastham (Sean Highland), while Bushell Athletic posted a 5-2 success over Rangers Breaks (Chris Carress, Jamie Cole) with Mark Standing 2, Luke Brown, Chris Georgeson and Jay Williamson finding themselves on the scoresheet.

Bierhaus FC also put their name in the hat for the next round with an OG and a single strike from Lewis Dono registering in a 2-0 win at Wirral Athletic.

League action saw Dock sink West Kirby FC by a solitary goal from Ross Waring to increase their lead at the top of the Premier Division and a mid table clash between Great Float S&S (Tommy Harris) share the points with Woodchurch United (Ben Holmes) 1-1.

Game of the day in Division One had Millhouse (Jack Ireland, Jamie Quinn) running out 2-0 winners at PSV Athletic with both teams pushing for a promotion spot.

Lancelyn Glenavon had Danny Lamb and Charlie Roberts on the scoresheet with a narrow 2-1 win at Lions FC (Dave Williams) Division Two Leaders Willows FC (Paul Greenwood, Bradley Brady, Anton Jolly) dropped vital points in their quest for promotion and Silverware in a 3-3 draw with Cad Athletic,

An Ian McCann double was enough for FC Vaults to earn maximum points over fellow strugglers Bedford FC.
