A WIRRAL author is inviting football fans to attend his book launch, celebrating camaraderie in the sport.

Peter Farrell, from Bebington put pen to paper to write ‘Give the fans sweet FA’ which reflects on his battle against ticket prices to premier league games.

Although the book is already on sale through Amazon, the official launch will take place at the Marriott hotel in Liverpool on Friday June 3.

He said: “The support I have received since the book has been on sale has been massive.

“It is great to see people getting behind it and supporting the message.”

Peter believes that fans are at the heart of football, which is why he is so keen to unite fans from a host of different clubs.

The book reminisces about Peter’s past ventures when he would refuse to pay for entry to football matches; a protest about the disrespect shown to fans.

He added: “Wirral is my hometown so it is important to me to let fans of the book and of football know they are invited to the launch.

“It's a celebration of fans from all clubs getting peacefully together.”

On arrival, guests will be asked to tie their teams scarf to all the other football scarves in this unique show of unity.

Tickets to the launch go on sale this coming Saturday, two fans from each team are invited with tickets distributed on a first come first service basis.

Tickets are priced at £10 and will go on sale at 11am Proceeds from sales will go towards Stick n step, a charity for children with Cerebral Palsy.

Give the fans sweet FA has gained five star reviews on Amazon, with praise for the book including fans calling for a sequel and some even calling it “the best book they have ever read”.
