Yet another league ‘old boy’ will be laid to rest this week when the funeral of Billy 'Ozzy' Osborne takes place at Landican.

Billy was an excellent midfielder and defender and a very dear friend and I was proud to take him to Melwood for his trials in the 1960s.

The condolences of the league go out to his wife and family at this sad time.
