TRANMERE Rovers' relegation battle continues at Prenton Park this afternoon when they face Luton.

Kicking off at 3pm, it will be the 29th time the two clubs have met, with Rovers having won 10 and Luton 14. The two have drawn four times.

Micky Adams' squad is currently 23rd on the table with 39 points, while ninth-on-the-table Luton have 58 points.

Earlier this season, a 70th minute goal from Luton's Ricky Miller earned The Hatters a 1-0 victory at Kenilworth Road in November.

This will be Luton's first visit to Prenton Park since September 2007 when late goals from Craig Curran and Antony Kay gave Tranmere a 2-1 victory.

This afternoon's game follows a Good Friday clash with Stevenage, when goals from Jennison Myrie-Williams and Kayode Odejayi earned Rovers a 2-2 draw.

The pair netted late in the first half to put their side 2-1 up but Charlie Lee's second half effort for the hosts left both sides with a point.

Play-off chasers Stevenage had gone ahead in the third minute when Ben Kennedy's corner was headed home by Bira Dembele at the Lamex Stadium.

The draw left Tranmere in the League Two drop zone, a point behind Hartlepool.

Looking ahead to today's match, Adams said: "I'm sure the crowd will be behind us, they were teriffic today.

"It's our home game and we want to do well in it and grab those elusive three points."
