BIG guns Neston Nomads and Kent FC will contest this season's Wirral Sunday League Premier Cup final following two excellent semi-finals.

Kent were hard pressed to overcome a resilient Telegraph but inspired by man of the match Craig Langhorn, the cup holders managed to pull off a 2-1 victory.

Langhorn plundered the winner with Callum Alcock netting Kent's opener.

In the other semi, extra time was needed to separate last season's finalists, Neston Nomads, from newcomers Grace Arms.

John Lloyd and Jack Rowlands put Nomads 2-0 up but the visitors fought back to make it 2-2 before a Jamie Gardiner free kick handed the initiative back to the hosts.

Grace equalised for a second time and took the game into extra time, but Nomads were not to be denied and secured their place in the final thanks to further efforts from Carl Jarrell and a blistering drive from Richie Foulkes.

Luckless MSC Eastham found themselves on the receiving end in their Division Two clash with title chasing Wallasey Athletic who enhanced their credentials after they emerged 13-0 victors.

Tormentor-in-chief was five-goal John Berry.

Jamie Little scored twice and made no fewer than six assists. Brothers Danny (2) and Tom Price (2) also got in on the act, while further goals from Danny Nettleton and Nathan Brooks completed the statistics.

Bronze and Star Ozzys gave it their all but it was Bronze who profited via a 3-0 scoreline.

The Wirral Sunday League has a limited number of vacancies for clubs wishing to join for season 2015/16. Application forms can be obtained from the League Secretary, Dave Lea on 0151 608 4332.
