CAPENHURST Villa's cup of woe was compounded after they suffered back-to-back semi-final exits inside four days.

On Saturday, their Pyke Cup dream turned into a nightmare, when they went down 4-0 to current Division One leaders, South Liverpool.

South's passage was confirmed, thanks to efforts from Steve Doyle (2), Gary Dunning and an own goal. They'll now lock horns with title rivals, Cammell Laird 1907 Reserves who came from behind and emerged 2-1 victors in extra time.

Matty Johnson gave Helsby the lead before Will Bulpin equalised. A stunning free kick from James Clare decided the issue for the Shipbuilders in the added period.
