AC HOYLAKE were stung by West Kirby Wasps in the Youth divisions Cup semi-final.

Wasps won 4-1 as Kieran Donaghue (2), Tom Johnstone and Sean Farrell fired them into the final, with Connor Walton bagging the lone reply.

A goal apiece from Tyler Dodd and Alex Northover gave AFC Liverpool a hard fought 2-0 success over Cammell Laird 1907 to book their spot in next week’s final.

Capitol Cup third round action saw Ship Wallasey coast to victory over Wallasey Town with a 6-1 win, in which Kyle Birch and John Pomphrett bagged doubles. Craig Bennett and an own goal completed the scoring. Sam Hunt claimed only reply.

Anthony Daniels and Gary Winders hit braces for Windsor in their 5-1 win over AFC Beb Athletic, with John Hesketh also scoring against a gallant youth side.

Despite a scrambled Dan Harold goal, Cetco Europe bowed out in a 2-1 defeat against Great Float S&S who had Lee Dermody and Liam Judge as their main strike threat.

Sean McManus rifled the only goal of the game versus Shippons as Grange Hearts claimed a 1-0 victory and Millhouse ousted AM Plant Hire in a 3-1 win that saw Liam Jameson bag a brace and James Clare add the third. Dan Costall replied from the penalty spot for the Diggers. Poulton Royal progressed via a walkover provided by Matrix FC.

The delayed Dutchman Cup third round tie between Nelson Grove and Vineyard was decided by Liam Williams and Liam Lavery, who netted a goal apiece for Vineyard to take the game 2-0.

Two games took place in Division Two and saw Sandbrook edge past Eastham Rangers with a 4-3 win in which Paul Brookes, Phil Bibby, Dan Lokoko and Dan Connelly bagged the goals, with the replies coming from Mark McMahon (2) and Lee Crowder.

Poulton Vics took the spoils versus Olympic Rangers in a 3-2 win as Dean Naylor netted twice and Carl O’Keefe also scored.

Beechwood Falcons rose to the occasion in their top-of-the-table clash with Shaftesbury Youth in the Grove Youth Division to seal a 4-3 victory thanks to Tyler Gill netting in the last minute.

Also on target for Falcons were Leon Clarke, Sam Hewitt and Joe Molyneux in an end-to-end encounter that could have gone either way. Tyler Smith bagged a brace for Shafts, with Liam Davies also finding the net in a great team effort.
