GRACE Arms were up to the task after they turned on the style and breezed past Woodchurch Rovers in the League's Challenge Cup second round.

Doubles from Mark Roberts, Robbie Davies, Steve Armitage and a Steve Griffiths effort were enough, as the Ellesmere Port based outfit celebrated a 7-2 result.

Following a spate of disappointing results, previously invincible Neston Nomads rediscovered their goal scoring touch, and made Riverside pay heavily.

Nomads went through after they won 5-0 with Dean Jones, Carl Jarrell, Richie Foulkes, Rob Marrs and Kevin Williams on the mark.

It was celebration time for Telegraph, who also bounced back with purpose, and interrupted Star Ozzys progress in a 7-0 victory, highlighted by a hat trick from Kyle Williams.

Further efforts from Tony Langrell (2), Ben Fitzpatrick and Darren Tennant completed the statistics.

On the minus side, Victoria Colts Seniors had to return their cup final suits, and counted the cost of a missed penalty after they lost 3-0 to cup favourites, Bierhaus, in an entertaining Wirral & District FA Sunday Junior Cup semi-final.

In Division Two, Wallasey Athletic leapfrogged Port Sunlight into top spot, and maintained their 100% record, after two-goal man-of-the-match John Berry played the anchor role in Sunday's 6-1 eclipse of Bronze.

Danny Price was another two goal marksman while Danny Rigby and Tommy Hughes, with a blistering long range effort, also made the score sheet.

Childer Thornton side Halfway House were elevated into third place in the table, after Joe Skinner struck twice in a hard earned a 2-0 decision over MSC Eastham.

The Halfway will look to retain good form this Sunday, when they lock horns with leaders, Wallasey Ath. at Levers.

At the Riverside Ground, MSC Eastham will be hopeful of opening their account at the expense of Bronze.

The key game in Division One sees Neston Nomads entertain Telegraph with both sides hoping to kick start their title claims.

The Wirral Sunday League has a limited number of vacancies for clubs wishing to join for season 2015/16.
