THE battle at the top of division Two continues with Wallasey Oval stumping Cavendish 6-2 to stay top on goal difference as Dan Beaver (3), Tom Ward, Andy Ward and an own goal gave them the points but staying the pace are Grange Hearts who pumped life into their title challenge with a 5-2 success over Wallasey Town (Ben Speed and Sean Talbot) thanks to efforts from James Naughtely, Will McFerran, Stuart Toner, John Williams and Jack Bradley.

In the division Two Cup second round Vineyard produced a vintage performance to edge out Parkview 2-1 with goals from Liam Lavery and Rob Ellis, as Jordon Griffiths scored the consolation.

Also through are Matrix who had to rely on a single strike from Tom Evans to take them past Eastham Rangers 1-0.

Ship Wallasey sailed to victory over Lever Bushell in the Wirral FA Amateur Cup semi final thanks to Kyle Birch notching the important goal, but Black FC failed to make it an all Wallasey final when losing to Halfway House.

Bad luck also befell Great Float S&S in the Wirral FA Premier Cup semi final as they lost out to Queens Park 2-1 in a very even affair that saw Rob Black score their only goal as Float played their part in promoting the league.

Youth divisions Cup second round action resulted in AFC Liverpool winning an eight goal thriller 5-3 versus Ashville Youth (Dan Curran, Callum Hughes and an own goal) thanks to Brandon Thomas (2), Dion George, Ben Dunn and Tyler Dodd bagging the goals.

Victoria Colts had Peter Monro (3) and Charlie Dillon on target as they beat Upton Town 4-1 to enter the last eight.

Two games in the Dundee Youth division saw Manor Youth overcome Heswall (Jamie Major) 5-1, due to Ben McLachlan (2), Lim Astles, Dean Trevitt and Jake Adams finding the net.

A double strike from Ben Graham earned West Kirby Wasps a 2-0 success over Neston Nomads and keeps them in the title hunt.

Despite goals from Luke Dixon, Joe Wingfield and Joe Duckers Glenavon went down 4-3 against AFC Beb Athletic in the Grove Youth division but Beechwood Falcons flew past Gayton JFC in a 3-0 win that saw Joe Molyneux net a brace and Leon Clarke a single to put them top. Princes Villa won 3-1 away at Shore Villa who had Ben Reilly as their lone scorer.
