Also scoring eight were AM Plant Hire who ran out 8-0 winners against AFC Tima thanks to Mark Goodacre-2, Rob Bergwin-2, Mark Roberts-2, Mark Plant and Paul Crossthwaite finding the net.

A solitary goal from Jordon Dodd was not enough for Heswall Youth as they lost 2-1 versus Victoria Colts in the Dundee Youth division and Cammell Laird 1907 Youth began their campaign with a 3-0 defeat of West Kirby Wasps thanks to Dave Mee-2 and Cameron Leighton scoring the goals.

Higher Beb took the spoils against Upton Youth in a 4-3 victory.

Games in the Grove Youth division resulted in victories for Beechwood Falcons (Joe Muller-2 and Brad Greer-2) as they beat Princes Villa 4-0, Saints AFC beat Shore Villa (Sam Locke, 2) 4-2 and Shaftesbury Youth ran out 8-0 victors against Allport Hawks.

Sad news has begun the season along with the opening games due to the bereavement of an ex player and manager Jimmy Armstrong and our thoughts go to his wife and immediate family.

Also the news that ex referee, player, league committee member and stalwart Dave Thompson has suffered an aneurism and is now recovering in Walton hospital and we wish him a speedy recovery, with our thoughts also being with his family.
