THE second of Wirral Sunday League's domestic titles was settled at the weekend, and it was consistent performers Bebington who were crowned Division One champions.

The victory followed a hard-fought 2-1 win over promotion rivals Lever Bushell Athletic.

Efforts from Shaun Burgess and Chris Ballard were sufficient as the newly-crowned champions celebrated their 16th win of the season and remained unbeaten.

On Thursday evening, it was a different story for Levers who won the Senior Cup final at Kirklands in dramatic fashion.

With four minutes remaining, and trailing 2-1 to a hard working Wallasey Athletic.

Richard Lacey's oufit equalised and then snatched the winner in the fourth minute of injury time.

Bebington's main rivals for the title Higher Bebington RBL look assured of the runners-up medals, despite Sunday's 4-2 home defeat to Bromborough Social.

Forum Athletic, with goals from Mozza Legg and Mike Dunn, were in the driving seat against Wallasey Athletic, but it was the visitors who profited after Danny Price, John Berry and a late winner from Adam Melling, turned the game on its head.

Kent concluded their Premier Division campaign with a 2-1 result over champions Neston Nomads, who had Richie Foulkes on target but capitulated to a smart double from man of the match Danny Morley, in a rehearsal for next week's Premier Cup final.

In Division Two, second-placed Greave showed no signs of nerves as they blitzed an under-strength Bromborough 9-0, and victory in their final fixture over tricky opponents Port Sunlight will see them snatch the title from current leaders Champions Bar.

Julian Gorbutt helped himself to a four timer in Sunday's goal glut. Further efforts from Nathan Jones (2), Chris Hawthorne (2) and Ben Percival completed a job well done.
