ONLY one game survived the weather affected fixture list and was witnessed by league committee members at Vauxhalls Rivacre Road ground, as Vauxhall Colts fought their way through to the final of the Cheshire FA Youth Cup against a well-organised Heath Rangers in a fantastic 4-2 success.

Early exchanges were even but Jordon Howley gave the home side the lead with a great shot and Heath's goalie made some excellent saves as Colts upped the tempo.

However, a fine individual goal brought the scores level just before the break.

The second half commenced with Colts in the ascendency and it wasn't long before Adam Hughes fired home a great volley to put them back in front and it was goal he deserved for his high energy performance.

Not long after Jordon Howley added his second and then a completed his hard earned hat-trick to put the game safe, before a late consolation gave Heath some late cheer as they competed to right to the end in this great cup tie.

Without doubt this was a superb advert for youth football and the league can be proud to have such a talented team within their ranks and to whom we wish every success as they strive to win this magnificent trophy.

The remaining fixtures for the month will remain as stated, unless confirmation is provided by the league of any enforced changes that may be required.

Some teams have already received notification of alternative fixtures and they should be adhered to, with all parties being fully informed.
