RAIN-drenched pitches caused many cancellations, but those games that were played provided plenty of goals as Millhouse closed the gap at the top of the Premier division following their 6-0 defeat of Grange Moreton.

On target for Paul Greenslade's team were Dave Rudge with a double and Steve Abbott, James Clare, Lias Black and Paul Cupit in a solid team performance.

Poulton Royal were winning the Seacombe derby 2-0 with goals from Byron Roberts and Dean Brown, but Great Float S&S hit back to claim a point in the 2-2 draw thanks to a Lee Bridge penalty and a late Kyle Williams effort.

FC Victoria won a five goal thriller 3-2 versus AM Plant Hire as Jon Lear notched a brace of goals and Elvis Zinyama got on song with the third in this division One encounter.

The only game in division Two saw Shippons FC record a 3-1 away victory against Nelson Grove due to Lee Dermody firing home a double and Adam Kinnear completed the scoring.

Wallasey Wanderers were the highest scorers of the day with a comfortable 8-0 verdict over AFC Bebington Athletic in the Grove youth division and this win moves them into second place.

Jack Murray was a three goal hero, with Chris Bradburn netting twice and Danny Lomax, Patrick Clarke and Lewis Fitzgerald all scored singles in this great team effort.

Sharing the spoils in a 2-2 draw were AFC Liverpool and Beechwood Falcons, as Callum Morrison and Alex Northover netted for AFC.
