Wallasey And District Sunday League: Victory for Liscard Bronze in Wirral FA Premier Cup

LISCARD Bronze kept the league banner flying in the Wirral FA Premier Cup when beating Neston Nomads 4-2, as Dan Banicale notched a double and Lee Davey and Craig Kaye added singles after a goalless first half.

The Cheese ran aground when losing to Dock FC who scored a goal in each half for a 2-0 win.

Premier division action saw Millhouse notch four first half goals to beat Windsor 4-0, thanks to a brace from Paul Cupit and singles from Liam Jameson and James Clare to put them into the top four.

Heswall Sunday stayed in the pink after beating Cetco Europe 4-2 with goals from Owen Kelsey-2, Ross Pringle and Sam Langan, with Dave Webb bagging a double in reply.

Poulton Royal won the Seacombe derby against Great Float S&S 3-1, as Ben Bennett, Joe Carroll and Mike Pickles netted to keep them second. Glenton Ryan scored the lone response.

Clarence Hotel stay third in Division One following their 3-1 success over PLCCFC (own goal) due to strikes from Rob Allen-2 and Chris Byrne and Upton FC remain fourth after beating AM Plant Hire 4-2.

The only game in Division Two saw Cavendish take the spoils in a 3-1 win over Autumn FC (own goal) as Leon Jones netted twice and Steve Nenna added the third.

Vineyard needed extra time to beat Shippons 3-1 in the first round of the Division Two Cup, but all three games in the second round resulted in wins for Poulton Vics (John Cousins, Rob Langton, Martin McArdle, Scott Naylor & Craig Smith) who beat Parkview96 5-1.

Wallasey Wanderers moved into the top five of the Grove youth division following their 5-2 away success over Beechwood Falcons (Sam Cafferkey & Sam Hewitt) as Matty Ingle, Dan Lomax, Jack Murray, Harry Coulson and Connor McEvoy found the net.

Extra time and penalties were needed in the Youth Division Cup to enable Upton Town to beat AFC Beb Athletic 5-4 and this after the game ended 5-5.

On target in normal play for Town were Joe Murray-2, Chris Turk, Scott Billington and Calum Mernock, with Ben Thompson-2, Liam Kearns, Coby Kendrick-Hall and Greg Stewart-Taylor replying.

Upton Youth (Tom Pettitt & Hayden Quarry) were beaten 9-8 on penalties by Victoria Colts (Peter Monroe & Tom Smith) after they drew 2-2 after extra time.
