NEW Brighton crushed visiting Hightown by 166 runs in the Premier Division of the Bridging Finance Solutions Liverpool & District Competition.
     
Mark Burns with a fine unbeaten 112 which included seventeen fours and two sixes and David While 65 helped the seasiders post 221-3 declared.
     
Martyn Evans 5-28 and Andrew Evans 4-15 then set about the Hightown batsmen and they were shot out for meagre 55.
     
An outstanding bowling performance by Christopher Bourne helped Wallasey return to winning ways in Division One.

Chris finished with 9-24 as home side Alder were put out for 116. Graham Reid with an unbeaten half century and Michael Currey 46 not out saw Wallasey to an easy eight wickets margin.
      
Birkenhead Park in Division Two accounted for Warrington by 67 runs. They reached 162-9 after being put in and then dismissed Warrington for 95.

Ian Cooper top scored with 45 and the successful bowlers were Sean Tuohey 4-30 and Chris Stenhouse 4-40.
      
Birkenhead St Mary’s gained a remarkable win over Prestatyn. The Welsh side after being put in declared on 225-2.

The Saints reached the target with two wickets to spare. Muhammad Ghafoor contributed 65.
     
Parkfield Liscard had to settle for a home draw against St Helens Recs who closed on 138-9 chasing a 213 total. Best for the combined side were Israr Ul Haq and Abid Riaz both with 51, Dave Hadden 49 and Matt Keogh 4-24.
     
New Brighton sit sixth in the Premier Division. Wallasey head Division One with a handsome 55 points advantage.

Birkenhead Park and Parkfield Liscard hold the top two positions in Division Two with Birkenhead St Mary’s and Caldy down the table.
     
Oxton still top the Premier Division of the Chapel Press Cheshire County League after a four wickets reverse at Nantwich in their latest outing but the margin is just two points from Hyde. Lou Vincent 89 and Chris Davies did their best for the Wirral outfit.
     
Neston in mid-table made it by seventeen runs at Didsbury. David Hurst hit 64 and David Jones claimed 4-44.
     
Irby in Division One were edged out by one wicket at Bowdon where Rob Houghton scored 53 and Dave Newman took 4-33. Irby lie sixth in the table.
     
Upton (J Huston 73) are one place off the bottom in Division Two after losing by four wickets at Middlewich.
     
Parkonians struggled at Haslington in Division One of the Cheshire Alliance. Batting first they posted just 83 and lost by nine wickets.
    
Port Sunlight beat Capenhurst by 130 runs in Division Three. Harry Burley 88 not out and Chris Newton 47 put on 108 for the third wicket. Adam Crosby 5-22 and Wayne Grieve 4-9 saw Capenhurst dismissed for 46.
      
Mark Griffiths 44, Ian Corner jnr 4-23 and Gary Corner 4-48 did well for Eastham Bromborough in a five wickets margin over Wistaston Village II.
     
Parkonians are eighth in their division. Sunlight head Division Three from Tranmere Vics and Eastham Bromborough.
    
Wirral enjoyed a welcome four wickets triumph at Over Peover in Division Three of the Meller Braggins Cheshire League.
