LIVERPOOL Competition Premier League runners-up New Brighton ended an excellent season with a 95 runs margin away to Maghull.

John Rylance retired on 68 and Andrew Clarle contributed 80 in a seasiders total of 247-6 declared.

Bowler Ashraf Nawab then set to work and in six over, four of which were maidens, claimed 6-16.

Wallasey came away 117 runs to the good from Southport & Birkdale. Neil Cross top scored with 70 and Lahiru Wellalege troubled the home batsmen with a 5-28 return.

Birkenhead Park went down by 102 runs at Fleetwood Hesketh. Chris Stenhouse tried his best with 4-53 and top score of 29 not out.

Wallasey finish fifth in the table and Birkenhead Park seventh.

Parkfield Liscard claimed fifth in Division Two after accounting for St Helens Town by 78 runs.

Players to the fore were Akmal Ghafoor 89, John McLennan 62 not out and Neil Hughes 5-25.

Caldy enjoyed a three wickets margin against visiting Sutton. Haroon Khan hit 80 and Andy Potter 42.

Brynley Richards took 4-40 Birkenhead St Mary's fell by five wickets at home to Old Xaverians. They totalled 120 after being asked to bat first. Matty Scholes top scored with 32.

Zaighum Abbas claimed 3-59 as the Old Boys eased to victory.

Caldy took seventh in the table and St Mary's tenth.
