LAST week was one of those sad times when the local bowls scene lost three of its real stalwarts . . .
Keith Looney, a founder member of the old 27 Club, died early in the week. Just a few days later, Denis Bulman lost his long fight against a serious illness. Denis had played for the 27 Club, Quarry Vikings and Manor Road. He was an integral part of the Wallasey CGBA Executive Committee and had been a tireless raiser of funds for the Wallasey Association.
Finally, on the Saturday, Lenny Sherbrooke, a long time member of West Kirby Victoria, passed away after a long illness.

Our thoughts are with the families. All three will be remembered with great affection.
